In each curated role study course you will work with Barbara Bonney to develop each of these roles in a way that includes self exploration, and ways to highlight your authentic voice within the role, as well as being grounded in the classical operatic tradition. Having sung all of these roles on numerous international stages in a variety of productions and countless conductors, Ms. Bonney is dedicated to sharing her experiences with the next generations of singers. She helps singers master each role and develop their craft by working on musical preparation, diction, translation, characterization, style and teaching her brilliant, layered methods for learning text, recitative, and authentic communication.
Sessions take place online in our supportive and respectful group atmosphere. The tuition for each role study course is €500 and each course consists of:
eight, two-hour online group sessions over four weeks
Within each two-hour session, the singer receives individualized instruction while other singers observe and learn from each other
Each course is limited to 4 singers, ensuring a safe space for everyone to explore and intensely focus.
With our small group work, we hope to provide a platform that brings singers together in a supportive environment and encourages them to share artistic resources, ideas, and gain confidence.
